The lyrics to a popular song by Waring’s Pennsylvanians, published in 1927, say “I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream,” but what’s not commonly known is that people also scream for ravioli with it being one of the most popular dishes served at Italian restaurants throughout the United States.
When you think of ravioli usually a silky blend of cheeses or a mixture of spinach and cheese come to mind, however the world of ravioli is much greater. The filling is mixed with a light sour cream and butter flavor that is mildly seasoned with chives, shallots and garlic.
